Happy Thanksgiving to all my co-readers here from the USA and to other places as well celebrating this day! 😊🦃🙏 Really our Angelica is one brave, great girl. I hope she'll learn from this in overcoming her fears and that she'll be able to find out answers that she is searching for about fangs and other related things. I hope, when Constantine comes again to Lord Rayven's castle; that Lord Rayven is there and shall be the one to face him. Thanks for this chapter, dear Jazzy. 🥰😊

Constantine's appearance just made Angelica more anxious. Face those fears, Angel! And let Rayven help you! 🙏🙏

Part one. Ok, I give up!!!! What is Constantine after? The blood, yes, but why? Last chapter I said the mark must make a difference because it will alter the blood that will no longer be pure but contain a portion of demon’s blood. If that is so, what does demon blood do to a shade? Does Constantine really not care? First time he came he looked satisfied that she was unmarked but this time he didn’t seem fazed at all… but he’s sly and cunning so there’s just no way to tell… Marked or not I will hold your hand, he said… What on earth? What will holding her hand confirm? That she and Ramona are related or that she’s a prophetess? Or is Angelica something more? Do prophetesses descend from something else? Constantine is happy with demons and humans mating because that will eventually dilute demons’ power making them more human. Shades, on the other hand, will become stronger in comparison. But how about Prophetess's blood? How will that alter the equation? Does he want to prevent the Demon/Prophetess bond? Again, he didn’t seem to care… but was it a bluff? He seems to want to make himself stronger, but does he maybe want to make an heir? Ramona was barely covered, Skender said… I told Onix_rain that since the effect of the blood seems to wear off maybe he was trying to mate with her to become stronger in a more permanent way… but he seems to be very well informed about the consensual nature of the bond… "maybe it didn't work" he said regarding the mating bond between Rayven and her... Was that something that he learned back with Ramona while trying to mate with her and does he now think he can coerce Angelica or convince her in some way? Or then again, just make a very strong heir? Or is he after the super powerful blood that will result after a prophetess and a demon mate? Is this why Skender said it wouldn’t make any difference? Did he actually mark Ramona but couldn’t get to her because he couldn’t enter Constantine’s place? We so need to know more about their relationship, if it was totally platonic, for once… or if not… we need to know about time… how long was she held, how long did he look for her? Was it enough for her to give birth to a child..? And how about who Constantine is trying to bring down? The Archdemons, Lucrezia said… is this about her then? She said she knew him… is he her ex? Was this why she was punished? Or is it about Skender himself? I think Skender may turn out to be very powerful and just isn’t aware. I wonder if there have been prophecies…? Others than that of the Alexander who would bring Demos’ tyranny down? Maybe Ramona knew about them? Did his parent bind his powers because of them…? Or is it William that Constantine is after in the long run? Well, that would amount to the same, cause in my opinion, Skender and William are an indivisible pack… Pff… I said I give up… and I do… cause I have no idea… this is just a sample of the various deranged theories that I entertain… Jasmine, you’re killing us…!!! You really are a master of suspense 😂😂!!!! God, this slow torture. I can't wait! 💕💕💕

Poor Angelica! So much uncertainty and fear in her life. When her enemies aren’t showing up on her doorstep she is trying to be crazy brave and confront her worst fears all be herself 🥺

So she was trying to face her fear of fangs and claws by going to where the bats were. That can be very traumatic or be healing. I think it will be healing for her because bats are actually gentle creatures unless provoked. I hope it’s healing so she won’t be scared of Rayven and his fangs.

Don’t Worry Angel your husband will rescue you 🥰

Part two. Before things turned dramatic, I quite enjoyed the moment with Sarah and Simu. I had hopes for him. Even back then he didn’t strike me as someone downright evil and perverse… he seemed like a man doing his job… A horrible job, yes… But did he choose it? And if he did, what where the circumstances? I said it ages ago. We know nothing about him, where he came from, he could’ve been born in a brothel for all we know... There is something distinctive about men who hate women… He didn’t seem to have it. I’ve never been too fond of mankind. No one is born evil, but the general tendency is mediocrity and mental and moral weakness. What makes a person different isn’t not ever being weak or selfish o greedy… is not letting himself or herself being carried by it, exercising restraint. But how often is that even a possibility? People try to survive… The system is perverse. It is a monster designed by humans and that feeds on them... The lower in the pyramid the worse it gets. If the world would be a fair place there would still be murderers and thieves and delinquents, sure, but would the proportion be the same? I really doubt it. As I said, the general tendency is mediocrity, but the system takes care of the rest. Choosing good is the hardest choice to make. Extraordinary is choosing not to go the “easier” way, or going against it even if it is directly against ourselves… I most certainly doubt Simus’ way was ever easy or he was born in a golden crib but it was for sure easier than going against Lord Green… he chose survival, we don’t even know if only for himself or if there is someone for whom he cares… But even if he did it only for himself… well… that’s just the choice most people make… Anyway, I definitely love Angelica. And Jasmine. I always have such a hard time thinking about those who were treated as expendable tools and were born only to serve… So, I really enjoy those moments with Sarah, where she helps her or makes no distinctions and just eats with her… As for the bats… Constantine paying a visit and her being in some strange dark place did cross my mind but knowing that Jasmine likes to defy what is expected I decided not to be alarmed… Angelica is very brave… a little too brave that she just may kill herself via a panic attack…. Glad that Rayven got there in time… Acheron will have to fend for himself. Maybe he’ll end up killing someone this time…Rayven is going to go crazy when he knows… I’m scared he’ll do something that will put him in danger. Things are looking really bad… 😭😭😭

Even though Jasmine ends the chapter with a cliffhanger, and I am like noooo way, I actually like it because it leaves you asking questions to yourself on different possibilities. Thanks for an awesome chapter, Jasmine!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone has a safe and blessed holiday 😊! Rayven started out panicking and calmed himself to try to find Angelica. He can hear her in the dungeon with her slow heart so now he can go rescue her. Angelica it's great you're trying to get over your fare, but let's not give Rayven a heart attack in the meantime.
