This chapter is perfection!! All of this honestly is so important. And Iām dying at the sweet awkwardness of it all. Does he even know what a period is? Whether heād even care about it, it would make her uncomfortable if she feels like a mess. Now is not the right time for more than kissing. But in a week; Angelica will be making requestsā¦
This chapter is perfection! Rayven gifting her Love ā¤ļø Him giving her free rein to ask as many questions as she wants so she can understand more ā¤ļø His obliviousness ā¤ļø Angelicaāsā¦. Ahemā¦. Lady dilemma š (soooooo relatable) Thanks for the chapter Jazzy! I love this couple more and more!
Part One. Well, as always Jasmine surpassed our expectations. The white horse was hers to name but she opened the door for him to give her another gift yet again. A gift already offered to which this horse stands as a symbol. Love. The one they are building, the one they hope for, the one they give to one another, the one they share. Slowly we learn how it is that he turned the way he did. His father did his best to strip him of everything he considered a weakness. Kindness, mercy, tenderness, joy, pain. He made him into a monster, but his love for animalsā¦ he could never take away. It remained a small dot of light that accounted for a soul that was once bright before being almost totally swallowed by darkness and death. This Angel of his with her light has brought him and his heart back to life and the man that is emerging is kind but isnāt yet used to comfort and will have to learn it from his wife. Different strings of love are being touched, sweet, tender and passionate moments pave the way. The dam levels are filling and it is only a matter of time. Rayven has had time to process and understand. The mating bond needs to be built from the personal one, it cannot seal what doesnāt exist or isnāt solid to begin with. It canāt be pressured into existence it canāt be rushed, and Rayven is finally talking like a mature man. Very interesting information about the demons and the shades. I had imagined they existed on a different plane inaccessible to humans but in the same world. Shades are less powerful, lesser in number, donāt have their own world and canāt read minds or compel. On top of all that they live on the human plane which they have to share with demons as wellā¦ well, no wonder they hate them!!!I am curious to hear the story about them, how did they originate. But this is also very worrisome. Understanding they are weaker doesnāt put my mind at ease it only makes me think that they are very invested and determined and that the demons, feeling superior have probably spent centuries underestimating them all the while they have been preparingā¦ I really hope Rayven uses his brain. Sheās more and more afraid to lose him every passing dayā¦
Sounds fair. Probably the best way to put that situation. Good job on describing her stress level with him just popping in and out. I literally feel it when I read it (probably because I am so tightly wound myself). Also... yes, he is bad with names. I like the intention... but a more subtle name that means love would have been better. But... this guy is a bull in a China shop. He gets an A for effort.
Part 2 Finally, back to my first thought of 4 chapters ago. I wrote: āHopefully theyāll make it official and maybe chose a new room, the one with the balcony, which I hope has a fireplace. Something symbolic of a fresh start, a spoken commitment to be husband and wifeā. Well, that has happened now. I donāt know what Jasmine has in store. If Lord Rayven will start doing some renovations to make her a ladiesā room adjacent to his room or if he will decide that, in a castle with so many rooms, there must one that is more apt for a married couple and to the needs of his wife. Last chapter I wrote: āAs for her comfort, isnāt there a room in that whole castle that has a privy and dresser and maybe an adjacent bathroom? Not for her to hide from his eyes, just thinking about something more spacious and comfortable for both since he probably should as well try to start bathing in his own houseā. As I said, have insisted on the room with the balcony because it is symbolic of the moment everything changed, because balconies are lovely and because I thought it may be in the middle of his and hers which is symbolic as well. But just as with the horse, whatever Jasmine does will be perfect and surpass everything, I just share my thoughts š ! I am delighted with the whole āperiodā thing. In Period Dramas (and not of the monthly type š) we never get to hear anything regarding this reality of the female world, and it is understandable as most were written when it was a taboo or something that required discretion. Nowadays that we have the freedom to write period fiction but the freedom to write whatever we choose, I find it necessary. It is such an inherent part of a womanās life and day-to-day reality that I am very bothered when it is ignored. Itās like erasing womanhood itself. So, thank you, Jasmine. You continue to grow and expand, and you make women justice. That said, do demon females bleed? Does Lucrezia have her days? Does she for instance have them instead of once a month, once a year perhapsā¦? Demon Lords stay away from her š¤£š¤£š¤£!!!! Poor Angelica, heās so clueless, the whole thing cracked me up. But he should know, I think, with his keen sense of smellā¦Whoever bears my comments in mind knows that Iāve been wondering about this for a long time because I have already asked about this in the pastā¦ Am I obsessed š³? Perhapsā¦. Anyway, great chapter Jasmine!!! Thank you, I loved it. Super excited as always and hoping for more ššš
