So sweet this chapter, so tender. Also, heart wrenching. Rayven, poor soul, he’s so afraid of himself. He hasn’t voiced it, but his choice has been made. He may not have chosen life per se, but he doesn’t want to hurt her or leave her. Honoring his mom and sister I believe has also some weight. And so, as an addict, he’s afraid of faltering and falling into temptation. Not being able to not want to die or resist the attraction of death. Furthermore, he’s even afraid of just dying, not even by his own hand anymore… And she… well, she’s an angel, that’s for sure. She’s so brave and kind, and sweet and generous… “Even if I don’t get taken care of” “I missed taking care of someone”, “I don’t want to be alone” translate into ‘Let me take care of you even if you don’t of me, please don’t leave me alone”. Twice now she has asked. It isn’t something that he can ignore. I love how she never shies away, even if she’s innocent and shy, I love that she waited for him in his bed. I love how their intimacy is growing so much, how she felt like she could share… I don’t want to be afraid. I hope she remembers Will, I hope as Lucrezia said, he’ll find the best way. I hope she will be as brave for this as for everything else…
oh boy, I feel so bad for Rayven. this is going to be hard for them both. Rayven is not good with wording things. I hope it goes as well as can be expected .when she finds out about what he is and that her father was right all along wow. I am surprised that Angelica is so attached to her old house though. thats going to make things even worse
