What in the world was with the bats? He has the bat door knockers, so maybe the live ones live im the house? Or was that a ploy by Lucrezia to get Angelica to stay close to him? Rayven is her safety and he needs to come to terms with it. I am so curious what will happen aftw the wedding. Will she actually sleep with him? Can his demon handle having her and her scent close every night? Phew: thanks for the long chapter, Jasmine!
I think with the cent and the desire Rayven feels for Angelica, she must be his true mate. He will be married to her very shortly and he will learn once they make love. It won't be long and he will understand what love is and he will have his heart back and will want to protect her even more ♥ ❤. Thank you. I am really enjoying this story. I do wish for more chapters, but I understand it's not always easy.
That last line has me curious now 🤔 Is he telling her that to try and hurt her since she is going to say he meant it has he knows what she "is". Or did he say that to tell her he doesn't care what people may say he knows who she is truly and that is not a prostitute. I am thinking and hoping for the latter. His feelings are starting run over, when he drinks his inner demon of wanting to sabotage his feelings seems to go to sleep and his true feelings for her come out. He likes being with her and finds comfort in her presence ❤❤
We learned 2 things: 1) As in the chapters before, it still holds true, that he is much nicer to be around when he's completely drunk. Sadly I still have to recommend alcoholism for him. At least for now. 2) He gets much better rest when he's around her scent (like when he fell asleep in her bed after trying to take her heart). Accept it dude, she's got ya!
