So her dad took her brother to the castle and then left him there? 🤔 So where is her dad? I wonder if her brother is just waiting for him to return? Wasn’t her dad in some sort of trouble at the beginning of the book which ultimately led to her finding refuge at the castle up the hill!?!!/ I need to go back and reread me thinks😳. The king and his people arnt normal humans and if they got wind of william’s gift somehow; it’s just trouble. They seemed to be looking for someone with a hidden quality, presumably a woman but who knows 🤔

Wonder who’s killing the women and why? The king and men seem to be searching for a particular “the one” (a particular woman?) Or are they searching for the one killing the women? (Using special powers they have?) Could some woman be killing off potential rivals? So many possibilities and hard to tell who is bad and who is good. I’m expecting some twists as Jasmine is a great story teller. Her stories are impossible to put down and make you beg for more.
