They are both jealous and toxic AF, it's starting to get on my nerves. I feel like you're struggling to write normal human interactions, Eve. The "interview" from the other chapter is also a big offender. Khan literally threatened to kill an interviewer for doing her job (even if she was doing it very poorly). The kind of people who threaten to kill journalists are dictators, cartel people, mafia, etc. not heroes from a novel.
