Y’all I think Mu Qing only looks at Xing Jiuan in a sister way not a romantic way. I thought it was pretty obvious since he’s willing to let her get married to someone else and not him. I’m pretty sure the ML is the Lu guy and even if he (Mu Qing) was a ML potential it would be second ML.

For those of you freaking out over why she hasn't gotten back to her old self with mu Qing think about this: pretend your parents or someone close to you hasn't talked to you in 2 years and is cold to you after what you did. You were left alone with nobody there for you in your tough times. You had no friends and no family. Your family gave you the cold shoulder when you expected love and because you got so excited about having a real family you ran away from your friends. Your friends aren't happy you left for so long without a notice and now its awkward for you wondering if they would take you back but you think they wouldn't want you, just like how your family doesn't give you a second glance. You wallow in your self pity, because no one loves you and wants you ( at least that's what you believe now ). Now suddenly everyone loves you again after giving you the cold shoulder and ignoring you. Wouldn't you feel like you don't need their love anymore and not go out to look for it? Wouldn't there be a mental barrier after getting abandoned by everyone? Its like what if your best friend betrayed you and you go back in time before it happens, won't you be wary and cautious? You probably won't put your trust in them again. She's being cautious because she doesn't want to end up abandoned again if she were to open her heart back up.
