I found these last two chapters to be very essential to the whole story! It is a fight not only for love between two people, but also peace for the whole kingdom! The disformed are the catalyst for the union between those in power and those that are marginalized during Elreth's reign, just as much as the wolves were the catalysts for peace amogst all the tribes as a whole under Reth. The sad part is that it appears all civilization can never just remain at peace. It just takes a few dissensions (greedy agitators) to cause a domino effect that lead to war. I guess nature dictates that there will always be power struggles as long as there are fight for the Alpha position and, of course, greed for wealth and power.
