Family dynamics are tough. Having your brother ruin one of the most important milestones of your adult life is tough to process. Especially after the internal turmoil Elreth has been through, starting with challenging her beloved father, and ending with the realization of her love for Aaryn (that ended up reaffirmed by their True Mate bonding). Gar has A LOT to make up for, and a lot to show of his true self, in order to be redeemed.
