I just realised something. Bai Zeming's father went to go see 'Leader Wu' about BZ because he is too strong. Instead, he saw Sun Ling and didn't ask for her husband, instead having his chat with her. Is she the actual leader behind the scenes while the husband is merely a figurehead?

This is so frustrating, they could have on the first day just taken Wu Keqian and Sun Ling hostage then assaulted the city from within. With Bing Xue as a guard and Bai Zemin non lethally wrecking all their soul evolvers they could take over the base in probably an hour. Wu Keqian would have no choice but to surrender peacefully against such godly might. Then we could still have Bai Zemin’s family reunion and then actually progress the plot, all in all taking like 10 chapters
