I understand your rage ice princess but Shen Mei has her legit reasons. She has to protect the lives of those that are loyal to her and herself. She couldn’t easily save the girls, and she did have the MC since the beginning helping her grow and alive. Ice princess is not totally on the right here, she almost killed someone before seeing the big picture. She almost became what she hated, and aren’t many that are loyal to Shen Mei victims and “female”. Ice princess is being a little sekf-righteous her, that isn’t good, at least the MC isn’t that.
difficult situation, in the eyes of shen mei children, she was conniving because she never helped them and was always with the molester, so they have every right to be afraid and even hate her. In the eyes of bing xue and many other people, I think they would put their lives on the line to save them. And in the eyes of the shen mei and many other people she didn't have the strength to help them. I understand all sides, now you have to give the kids time to understand and maybe forgive Shen Mei. a chapter of many reflections, thanks for the chapter
Wow, that actually made me tear up a little bit. Keep this up author and keep playing with the more serious and realistic themes of humanity while in the midst of a major crisis. The only piece of advice I would give is add in more descriptions for the state of people after suffering major hardships. Obviously dont do it all the time but when your really trying to F with a readers emotions the more you describe how that person smells, looks, feels, etc, the more it tugs on the heart strings. Or at least thats the way it works for me personally. Regardless, keep up the great work.
