35 Chapter 35

"The videos that we shot today were enough." Edward sighed and then continued to say, "As for those errors in the clips that we film, they can be fixed through editing."

"Is it really fine?"

"Of course, today was our first shooting experience, so it's normal to make mistakes," Edward patiently explained, as this time he's telling the truth.

In his heart, he even praised them for the effort they put in.

The fact that they endure hours of work without a break already exceeded his expectations.

You know, they are only sixteen and seventeen.

To be able to adjust and withstand the pressure of high-intensity work, it can be said that all of them have really worked hard.

Well, it can also be said that his presence was also attributed to most of it. Seeing his success before their eyes gave them enough confidence.

Anyway, the recording was completed, and the quality is at most average.

However, Edward was still satisfied.

After all he didn't really think that they could produce high-quality works in their first attempt to begin with, so his expectations were not high.

For him, the primary goal of today's shooting was to let them familiarize themselves with the process of producing content.

Although the outcome of today was far from what he had envisioned, he is certain that they will make better and better work with the passage of time.

So in his eyes, their first day was a successful one.

"But..."

"No buts, tomorrow we're going to an Internet cafe nearby, and I'm going to show how to edit the video we shot today."

Hearing this, they all let out a sigh of relief.

They are really tired and wanted to get some rest at home.

Soon, everyone started packing, and after making sure that nothing was amiss, Edward called the restaurant owner and thanked him before leaving.

"No problem. You can come and rent my place as much as you want." Richard had all smiles on his face as he shook Edward's hand.

After all, the rental period was a day, and the fact that Edward and others only spent 6 hours in the restaurant made him earn more than he expected.

So, of course, he would be happy and willing to do business with Edward and the rest in the future.

Seeing his smiling face, Edward didn't say much and kept his smile on the surface, but he was actually complaining deep inside.

After leaving the restaurant, the group of people were walking side by side. They chatted about what happened during the shooting process and also shared their thoughts.

A while later, the group also disbanded one by one.

At around six, the sky has already turned dark.

Edward came back to his parents apartment, and as usual, he was greeted by warm smiles, which made him feel a lot better.

Later, after dinner, they sat on the couch and watched TV.

As they watched, Edward suddenly remembered something and couldn't help but ask, "By the way, dad, how's the negotiation with the store owner?"

"Well, I've managed to lower the price... Guess how much?" His father smiled nonchalantly, but if one were to look closely, one could see his eyes sparkling.

"10,000?" Edward guessed; after all, it had only been a week since the start of negotiations.

"No..." Edward's dad shook his head and smiled even more as he strewed out two fingers.

"Two.. wait, twenty thoudand?" Edward was dumbfounded as he looked at his father, and he couldn't believe it.

"Hehe, it's actually quite reasonable. That guy was hurrying to sell his store to pay his debts."

"... I see." Edward nodded in ignorance and then asked again. "Then how much do you think his bottom line is?"

"140,000."

"For Real?"

"Yeah, that's how much the debt is."

...

The next day,

At eight o'clock in the morning, Edward finished his morning and headed towards the Internet cafe nearby.

When he got there, he saw that everyone was already inside.

As usual, he greeted them briefly and soon began the editing process.

He started the computer and then inserted the USB where the files were stored, and soon a new window popped up, which shows the videos they took the previous day.

Seeing the files, Edward didn't waste any time and immediately opened the video editing software and started with the simplest and easiest editing: trimming.

With just a few clicks, a video was successfully trimmed into three separate clips.

This process was not only simple, but it also allowed the group to get used to the video editing program.

After completing the trimming, Edward then taught the rest of the process, such as adding music, inserting a title, and adding subtitles, as well as other things like adding an effect or color.

In an hour and a half, a five-minute video was finally edited.

The final result was a bit crude; he had managed to put different clips from various angles together, the timing was done neatly, some background sounds were also added, etc., and the video quality of the camera is better than smartphones.

The only problems are the actors themselves.

Their movements and facial expressions are a little stiff and unnatural, not to mention that their dialogue is not fluent.

Even in one of the skits in which he was the protagonist, his awkward acting skills were obvious on the screen.

Still, considering this is their first try, the overall quality was actually not bad.

"So that's it. Any questions?"

"..."

"Okay! Next, I'll let you edit the rest of the four videos. Of course you can ask me whatever you don't understand, and I'll help you."

After saying that, he had others rent their own PCs and start working on their own.

Of course, as the leader, Edward will continue to monitor the whole group.

Time passed by.

The sound of keyboards being typed filled the room, and the sound of music could also be heard playing in the background.

"Done."

"Me too."

"I'm done too."

Soon, one video after another was completed.

In total, there are only four videos that should be edited, but because everyone took part and edited on their own, a dozen edited versions have been created.

Edward and the others checked their video, and the result was not bad.

Even though it was not as good as he could have done, being able to do it on their first try was good enough.

"Let's take a break to eat lunch first. I'll re-edit some parts of the video later and then upload them online."

"Okay."

"Good."
