For the past eight or so years, he didn't even remember the date and it was his subordinate who came to him and gave presents. The items they gave were all tucked in one place, though since he had no use of those. 

Long Ying's heart felt warm as his eyes landed on his woman. 

Slowly, he kissed her cheek, stirring the sleeping woman.

Yu Yan blearily opened her eyes. Upon seeing Long Ying, Yu Yan then recalled her planned surprise. Her cheek blushed since she failed to prepare proper surprise but she still spoke out, "Happy birthday, Ying."

"Mhm." Long Ying leaned in and locked Yu Yan's lips into a kiss. He certainly felt unwilling to let her go.

When he finally let her go, Yu Yan's face had turned red like tomato. She pushed Long Ying away. "Come on, your subordinate also helped to prepare for today."

"They did?" Long Ying arched his eyebrows.
