Grace decided very young that love was a useless emotion used only to weaken and destroy your soul. She had lived the life of a grieving child for as long as she can remember. First she lost her mother at birth, then her father when she was murdered while on patrol when she was 14. Loss is all she's known, so expecting anything from life was a pain she wouldn't allow. Her only family, Aunt Tara, didn't even have the time to show her love. Now faced with coming to get adult and finding a mate she chose to stand alone and rely only on her own heart.
