See, first off, that knight needs to be dismissed. Concubine and mother of his first son or not, there is a reason only certain women are allowed in his inner sanctum. Clarissa may have momentarily been genuinely happy accepting her status but she had no reason to overhear such a private conversation. Imagine if any woman could enter Theron's area; how many can try to seduce him then cry foul when they didn't get their way and who would stop them or say it wasn't true, regardless of him being a king. Now she has information without the full story, will spread such information thinking it will finally push the nobles to convince Theron to banish Esther not realizing she is putting Theron, the man she supposedly loves, at risk along with the rest of the royal family (including her and her precious son) because others may use that information to overthrow all of the Ivanov's and she is part of that roster. Esther already hates herself and is impounding her betrayal tokens against Theron now we have Clarissa coming along adding to it. Will Theron punish Clarissa IF he learns she heard of this information and would more than likely spread it for her personal gain?
