He married and slept with another woman our of “duty” to his kingdom. Yet, when the woman is required to do the same, he can’t imagine sharing her. Plus, obviously the queen wanted a child of her own, as well. She is not being asked to give her life, but to give birth. Though he initially refused the request for the concubine, he still carried through with it. I think it’s a bit ironic and honestly am a bit happy he can understand the sacrifice his wife had truly made. Now he can do the same.
waaaoooo, the situation is so well placed that this whole thing doesn't look unexpected or Uncalled for at all.. .with the kind of love the king and the queen shared it was difficult to imagine how she can give birth to someone else's son and make him king. but now everything is falling into place.. .
