I am wondering what must have happened for him to be the way he is now with Drayce and the fact that he has other wives now. He is so sweet with Esther I wish he could have stayed that way.

i was a little wary knowing it will be a while till we get back to the present but everything is written so detailed and there are so many sweet moments between them (Esther and Theron). This way we really get to know the characters from a different perspective and have a deeper understanding of theire motivations, reasonings and feelings 🥰 it's almost a book on its own. If it would have been written any other way, we as readers would have missed out on a lot.
