I mean. Who wouldn’t leave him at this point. The things he just said are the truth, yes, but he has literally broken her now. He also said he wants to divorce her. I’m sure after such a long time and learning these truths she just felt completely defeated. Loriel isn’t 100% the bad guy either. He has his justifiable reasons for being upset with their entire situation but him taking that out on someone who doesn’t deserve it. That’s not right at all. He was cold and cruel to Elise from the very beginning. Constantly repeating to her that she’s his wife in name only. She had to live in the shadows of knowing he was in love with someone else. Then when he finally decides to make an effort he wants to bow out EVERY time things get hard. That’s not the way a MARRIAGE works. You don’t just accept the person when things are all rainbows and sunshine. You have to endure when they are at their worst because that’s what life is like. It’s not a straight path. The way I see this is Elise technically has done nothing wrong. The only time she got out of line was when things were happening to her body that were out of her control. Of course Loriel wasn’t aware of it this last time when he was making great efforts to be a good husband but again, your wife tries to kill herself and you leave? Your wife loses your baby and you leave? Take some time alone on your thousand of acre kingdom if you need it. This picking up and leaving thing is extremely selfish. It always takes one really bad act to wash away all the good ones.
Lol Loriel is such a baby. I understand how he feels, that’s why you shouldn’t drink like that if you can’t control your tongue. He will regret every word in the morning. You can’t really blame him for that outburst. He’s not naturally a patient person so when he had to pretend to be of a dfferent character for 2 months that totally will send anyone insane especially when you see no results from it.
Oh man… This is just awful. I think Loriel could have tried sommich harder. But he was devistated watching the woman he now lIves totally distroying herself because of her poor mental health state. They just failed to set that initial trust, and it was too easy for Loriel to get her in the first place. He never learned to properly deal with personal conflict. He has sooooo much growing up to do. I don’t blame Elise for leaving him after this. But now I wonder how she can forgive him in the future. He loves her unconditionally In the present; and is all in on their relationship. But has she had the opportunity to grow enough to forgive his catastrophic actions here?
