Will and Elisabeth's relationship seemed boring & predictable from the beginning. Only the most beautiful and prestigious girl in the novel was taken as an obvious couple with leaps and bounds developments with small 'misunderstandings' as obstacles to their relationship ... and then when the relationship was confirmed, it took a back seat where the only thing that She does is wait for her 'husband' at home, waiting for his return for months or years ... the logical thing is that she wins a lover, but the safest thing is that even if she is submissive to the whims of her husband.
