Duel wielding swords is quite stupid for a ninja, having a free hand for jutsus and throwing weapons is by far a better idea. Also I don't get why he is rushing it, it's not like ninja are immune to normal swords, he could still chop off heads without chakra flow. I also feel mastering the e rank jutsus from every element would be a good idea while at the academy.
