I realy hope Tristan can leave his sister in a safe place after this planet. Even though the hostage situation helps develop the plot, this slightly sour feeling will make it more bitter to read in the long run, if even the MC does not get his freedom. I would love to see him grow on his own for a while, without having to worry about a sister, building his own force and surviving while protecting his loved ones. I want to see his choices when he ist not under constant 100% stress due to having no control, and see him at his best, controlling the situation and his present and near future. I have nothing against further difficult plotlines but I sincierly hope the MC to have more control later :)
