Hmm I wasn't expecting that but I like it 😏😏

I cannot agree here. In some of the best stories, a tragic and stunning ending completes it perfectly, and leaves the plot culmination more permanently etched in the reader's memory than any happily-ever-after. It can be quite satisfying to read, and leave the reader mulling over how it ended up that way long after they've finished the story.
