I have a request author! I'm really loving this novel so far but there's one thing I'm worried about! I really hate it when MC is manipulated. I'm tolerating it for now because he said he'll remember soon but I really hope he remembers everything about the bet and also what he realized during his father's funeral, when he sees the protagonist. As a serious and avid reader I'm 99% sure I've already figured out what's going on, that's the only reason I'm tolerating MCs current personality and decisions (like getting engaged to a Russian princess and teaching her to get away with murder, MC burned out Melodys eyes and kept her in captivity for decades, there's no way he wants an equal partner. He liked Melody because she felt fear and hatred towards him) because I'm hoping that the real Daniel Slade, the MC I came here for, returns in the next few chapters. I just really hate seeing an MC I love get f*cked with too much lol please make him self-aware next chapter or very soon author! 🤞🖤
