Ok, I’ve spent the last hour pecking through earlier chapters trying to find Gavriel’s mother’s name in a prIor chapter. I couldn’t find it, but Beatrice rings a bell. Why does WN not allow us bookmarks?? 😭😭 Anyway, I’m becoming more sure that she goes back with Gav to the surface. But now I’m wondering if she didn’t actually die, but rather once Gavriel was stable outside the underland, if she went back to her husband. Maybe Beatrice is alive and well with the King? So how did Gav get locked out of the underland? Was it a choice, which price was perhaps Evie’s memories? I am starting to doubt thay Gavriel doesn’t have some if Gavrael’s memories. In my frantic scanning for his mother’s name, I read definite hints that the dark side of Gav was there: he just seemed to supress it. And did be use black magic to push everyone down in the throne room after they tried to get Gav to take a concubine, and caused the last minunderstanding between him and Evie? I think yes! I really need to reread all the earlier chapters to brush up. I just don’t want to re-read that stuff about Thea 🤬 I hope she doesn’t reappear at some point 😳😡 Thanks for the thought-provoking chapters Kazzen! I’d love to read mirr about the king and queen; as well as Zanya and her mate (whoever that is!).
