Why on earth could Gavriel not swallow his pride and just tell her what he'd been up to? If he had just stopped playing games and expecting unequivocal trust from her that he is yet to earn, he might have realised that his wife has every right to feel hurt and concerned. Then perhaps they could have talked it out. The fact that he also willing followed those women was also beyond belief. He's somewhat of an idiot and I doubt this is gonna end well if he doesn't come to his senses and return to Evie pretty darn sharpish.
I love the book and want to fall into the storyline with the characters but i think im going to have to stop reading it. You wouldnt watch a movie in three minute sections and pause it at the intense parts and walk away. The one page a day is actually kind of frustrating. each day you invest yourself into something excitedly to fall into and yet another cliffhanger feeling without any movement forward. At least end the week on a somewhat good feeling. Now im just sad :-(
