Poor Gavriel hidden from childhood for his own safety. I hope this will help Evie to warm to him further. I'm also pleased to discover that she's starting to see the vampires with less prejudiced eyes. Hopefully she'll eventually trust them and realise that they're not her enemy just because that is what her own culture had believed and taught. People should only be judged on their actions, not who or what they are. Looking forward to the next installment.
