Poor Evielyn, her parents and the emporers have her so misguided! She seems to be shocked he is expecting her to actually be his wife and she can’t imagine his concern for her is actually genuine. She obviously wasn’t conscious when he demanded all his guards hand over their coats for her or the fact that he traveled so slowly not to hurt her that it irritated his guards either. Hopefully it doesn’t take him too long to convince her he is being real with her!
