We as readers know some of the back story, so it is easy to tell that the uncle killed the king. However, imagine meeting this cruel c prince who is known for being ruthless for the first time, and seeing him holding the sword to your father’s neck as soon as he enters your city. Then compare that to your own uncle whom you have known all your life and who appears to care for you, the family and the people. Who would you trust more?
