common, he didn't even have a single proper battle since he recovered and we are back to the nerfing! i never thought I would say this but I seriously hope he gets some plot armor.... @author Please balance your novel a bit more. So far, two thirds of the chapters released had him with a handicap, that's lot.
I have to say that these last 3 chapters have been pathetic. One of the worst things an author can make imo is lower the intelligence of the good guys just so that the bad guys can have their moment. We were shown that the MC and others KNOW there is a scheme going on but they just let it happen, resulting in the deaths of the brightest kids in the academy and potential kidnapping of others. This is as bad as that time when the entrance exam to the academy involved letting your elite candidates die to beasts in the forest. Zero IQ. Not only that but author is AGAIN playing with Ne T R. Is this a topic that people like? Because i refuse to believe it. Seriously how many times have it been so far? What a hilariously bad villain, the only reason he could do anything is because the good guys suddendly became dumb. Even if the author comes up with the usual problem solver "Ah, this was their plan all along!" it still doesnt make sense considering how the MC is reacting and all the deaths that have happened.
Forget the MC being so stupid as to walk knowingly into a trap; Ezio the assassin who knows about the candies, knows about Carter, is charged to protect William, and has perfect concealment, has chosen to ignore not only Carter taking a secret passage and abducting Wendy out in the open but also ignored Carter force feeding Will unknown probably very lethal potions after dismissing literally all of his thralls, then revealing his true form. And Ezio is just "wow that's cool and all but the author forgot about me so I'll be over here" Then there's the fact that the royal guards as well as I assume all the teachers and I assume all the powerful guests who have come to see the very politically interesting knight's commander do mock combat are all so weak they can't shut down a bunch of non-casting creatures who have to carry something heavy to a specific location or literal children. Are the king's personal royal guards really weaker than grandpa's ragtag bunch? Bury the portal in stone, drown it in water, engulf it in fire; they have to know being abducted by demons is a fate worse than death. And since one of the people turned into light when killed can the students even die? If one starts to be abducted why not just kill them and have them respawn? Why can the demons and magic users easily knock out who ever they want but royal guards, teachers, powerful visitors, and other students only kill? Did the Head of the school really not have no contingency plan when he knew that a professor was mind controlling students? There's just so much that relies on everyone being stupid, incompetent, or both. Will has a pocket *demigod* and a small army of beats which sounds like a lot better option vs "willingly drink soul weakening potion, try and literally invoke deus ex machina, ???, win". Did Mama really both let Will run away on his own, and slow down despite being explicitly told she's way stronger and faster than him?
Right now the MC is coming accross as being overconfident and naive. I thought he had gotten over this by his training from the assassin. I dont understand where the author is going with this, hopefully this changes because right now the MCs actions means he cannot be relied on to deal with any real threats. Being repeatedly saved by ridiculous luck or direct intervention by 4 gods, rather than his own efforts and planning/decisions, will get boring.
William drinking poison without having any plan and lastly using suicide move on someone he thought he can kill far earlier just proves his iq in these chapters are in negative. .. if seriously even now four gods or some new power of system helps him then what was the point from the start of novel that he is genius or what was the point of 4 years of training.??
"Forcefully" merging his classes?? lol ok now way to artificially create some suspense. First time we the readers are hearing he has any restrictions on merging classes besides being able to merge 10 maxed classes for one better class. Why couldn't he merge them before? I roll my eyes at how passive you make Will that he's completely at Carter's mercy. Will spent all that time after freeing Wendy from the mind render spell and yet has done nothing to plan for Carter except worrying and worrying? lol ok
