This whole chapter has me confused. Seraph has her mother’s soul(?) inside of her and Imph is one of her children that escaped from her, who was also devoured into Seraph, upgrading her to a 3 tailed fox? I’m assuming there will be more of her children popping up but I feel like she’s using/manipulating Seraph
So to medigate your confusion this is what's happening in this chapter. Currently Seraph the MC is walking around exploring what this worldnhas to offer. She currently has two tails of nine as a Kitsune, so her power is limited. The mother is the conciousness that connects eight tails together. during reincarnation from human to kitsune for the MC they had a psychological break causing personality fragments. The mother was hated by the seven of the eight tails so once the personality fragmented they scattered their souls across the world. Seraph stayed with the mother because she saw mother was hurt and wsnted to heal her wounds. And now whenever Seraph sees another tail mother takes control to consume them to bring them back to full power. I hope this answers some of your questions.
