If you know that you say one thing and do another, and you admit to this, then you are actually not being hypocritical. For example, if you smoke, and you tell your child not to smoke, and you acknowledge that you are not being virtuous by smoking, there is no hypocrisy in this. What would be hypocritical would be to smoke, claim that you didn't smoke and that you were virtuous for not doing so, and then get mad at your child for picking up smoking because it was not virtuous. See the difference?
Thanks for the chapter Finally caught up! I like it that Dante is just a good leader. It's hard to manage a team with their own ego as teenagers, but that's what they are. It's just good that he's managing them well enough for him to be well respected and understood by his teammates as their leader.
