Okay people. I totally get that you are all irritated by her innocence but think of it this way: Her FATHER raised her in a SECLUDED place and she literally only interacts with children and that old woman on a farm. SO yes she could be THAT innocent and unable to comprehend what it all means. If it annoys you that much then dont read the story but PLEASE to respect the author’s work & character development.

I get that she's sheltered, but being a peasant, there's no way that she's gone her whole life without hearing a dirty joke by one of the townspeople or someone alluding to it. I wish she knew just a tiny, tiny bit because she's starting to come across as a child, and I don't like that.

In rural areas with little to almost no education. Many women married with out the knowledge of what s** is, they are just tall to do as there husband said and most of the time priest or nuns will explain what will happen at “night “when they get married.
