Thx for the chapter. Also rex said he should still be in the ninth rank realm right, but with the invincible item we saw him at the teth rank with far less abilities and properties than he has now. He was also already at the peak in his werewolf powers alone. Does this mean with every ne ounce of power he gets his current realm just becomes wider making it harder to reach the next?
Yes, his 'power pool' became greater and greater, especially with him having the Royal Black Prince. It would be clearer in future chapters about reaching the tenth-rank, but for now, know that he's at the very peak of the ninth-rank realm. As for the Invincible item, it only temporarily unleashes Rex's current potential. Pushing him to the limit for a brief moment. Using the invincible item right now, with his current strength, would push his limit higher than before.
