Man just let him dump Ivy or the other way around. Even after 100 chapters of them being together she is still super annoying. Why does he even need her. Seriously since the Umbridge arc (that was stretched out) this story just kept on adding unnecessary drama and Don't get me started on the Sin arc that was complete BS. Sorry if I sound like I'm hating on the story but I personally believe that it went from one of the best H.P fanfic to mediocre with too much .
