Honestly X-H shouldn't bring this guy back to the sect right now. They already have enough enemies and XH is the only real pillar of the sect. If he joins the sect he must never appear in public until the sect can resist the Blue Empire if the latter decides to launch an attack. The best solution would be to let him recover in one of the sects that are affiliated with them so that he does not involve the sect.
