Thanks for this comment! I wanted to respond a while ago but honestly just forgot. The reason you might be feeling like this is that I didn't want this to read any better or worse than it was, and I appreciate the efforts of mentally gender flipping the scene before making a hard call on the okayness of the action. What I kinda wanted to do with this scene was to establish the matriarchy of this world without glamorizing it, or demonizing it as some stories tend to. Just as the human world has patriarchy but has its good and bad parts so does this world. TLDR: This wasn't a female empowerment scene since this wasn't a woman showing power in a man's world, this was just a woman being sort of a bully but (hopefully) not going too far
