But make sure you do it slowly cause millenium of xenophobic won't dissapear just like that also show subtle changes such as slow acceptance into the imperium from disgust to reluctance to acceptance then welcoming. Still you need to make "filter" to make sure the Xenos is loyal to the imperium.

my suggestion is to add more pov of the emperor because sometimes it feels like we go 10 chapters without seeing the MC of the story which is the part that im interested in Although this is only a suggestion from a reader as you are the author write the book however you want

Make the imperium appear at first contact war or during earth invasion by reapers

Make the imperium appear after leviathan defeat so the imperium can expand while watching the reapers condutc the harvest.
