he’s right though - i mean, they both are right - but Elia is his pair, his everything... they are a unit. how can he be at his best without her? he can’t.

I think Reth has bonded so closely with Elia, he would literally die from heartbreak! But he would live on as long as he had a part of her still living in daughter. Reth's weakness is his big beautiful heart he has for his two girls. But they are also are what drive his stength and determination.
