Well this chapter was a lot - From the cute obsession Reth still clearly has for Elia to the teasing from the guard to the very serious business about Jax and the potential break off from the people. Of course we can’t just have chapter after chapter of Reth and Elia tussling and making up….. Hopefully we can still have some wven as the plot gets moving forward lol.

Hope Jak is ok! I want to see our heroine grow in strength and become able to hold her own against the females. I’d also love to see a way for her and Lucine to settle the score without a death sentence involved.

A defection doesn’t explain the attack on Jak though...
