I still think it’s insensitive to expect her to just enjoy being anima when they kidnapped her. And comparing it to being born in a time or place she couldn’t choose feels like gaslighting. She was forced into this life because someone with a will and the ability to make a decision made the choice to take her, and it was not out of good intentions either. You could argue that parents make a choice to have a child, and the child has no say, but those are things no one can have a say in and even the parents decision is only part of the process and guarantees nothing. there are things in the world we cannot influence, forces of nature that work independently from any human (or anima) will, including the random chance of pregnancy occuring. And when those things happen you have to roll with it. Her kidnapping was not random chance, not even partially chance. She was chosen very specifically, she could have had a choice in the matter, she would have said “hell no” but giving her the option was not impossible. Not to mention she was expected to die, though I realise they thought they were giving her a great and honourable death. There’s no way back so she does have to roll with it now, but honestly the anima got lucky, because some would roll with it by finding ways to punish those that forced them in this situation in the first place. There’s been mention of a previous human queen and that it was a terrible time, and I have to wonder if that’s not exactly why. That being said, from what I understand of Candace her words aren’t meant to tell her how to feel, but telling her how she has to present herself to the population in order to keep the doubters away.
this is so sudden you know a girl just waking up and seeing her self in a whole different world, its kinda different from a person from a person who was born there. so they can't just rush things for her or expect her to feel at home there,so she needs time so she will be familiar with that world for her to start thinking and behaving like them
