Dear author, you remember both of them promised her grandfather that they pay visit to temple!

Author I have enjoyed this book so far I'm just confused by some things that seem missing like the fact they were suppose to visit the temple and how they caught the shooter and how she was saved from the bullet. Also, what is so tragic in both of their pasts? I want to know why his evil pathetic mom hates her mom too.
