Honestly i think all readers kinda already knows/expect that the ML would recover later on in the story, but even so i would actually rather read to find out about that later on and didnt want to be spoiled like that. Its like the author was afraid readers would look down on the ML cause of his current state or that they would stop reading this novel cause of it so they had to spoil it to the readers that the ML would recover from it later on.
