That was too sudden and a bit confusing.

I found this stupid. Deluded hero used sacrifice....dead. this is what the plot will be based on, this little no explanation that author decided to not give? I hate plot like this. We see every moment, every second of the fight, sometimes even the thoughts of the MC but the crucial info is denied in some cheat plot tool to make suspense. as it is, a cheap plot tool.
