I am so glad Conrad finally gave into reason. Unfortunately that is not to say he won't fall back into that madness in the future and go after Evanna again or he may very well learn to earn her trust again and as he said, become friends but to be fair, he never gave her a reason to look at him like that. Yes, had he played his cards right, she could have grown to affection and possibly love, but when he was screwing anything that had a 🐱 and even did it in her kingdom, under her castle, at a banquet with all eyes watching her, any affection and love she would have felt disappeared and it was all his fault. May he lead his kingdom into better times than his father did.

Do I see a redemption of the Demon King? I'm not gonna hold my breath. I'm glad that he finally sees that he could never get her to look at him the way she looks at her husband. He realizes that it's his own fault.
