I have wondered for a long time if she is not really the king’s daughter. I get this feeling that he claimed she is to help her mom out with something we don’t know yet.
Oh my! Of course, nowhere in this discussion did he apologize! I was acting, the women a means to an end, had to keep her safe, but no “I’m so sorry, please forgive me.” Neither did he mention loving her. In the previous chapter, he said he could never hate her. Not the same thing. If they were to marry, I think he could fall in love with her, but would she love him? I doubt it. They were friendly allies. She was hurt when he insulted her, but she wasn’t broken hearted.
WHHHAAATTTT!!! That's why his brother was fighting and trying to sabotage him. And his father probably knew Arvid was up to no good. They both knew the Demon Prince's true potential and how ambitious he is. Idk...my feelings are still hurt from the way he treated Evanna by running around with all of those women in her face 😕 the engagement could of been called off because of some other reason. He didn't have to do that. And now wants her forgiveness and for her to take him back and rule along side him. BUT SHE'S IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER MAN. Did the Demon Prince really think that he was her only choice for husband??? Evanna is a beautiful young intelligent multitalented powerful woman. He needs to earn her heart/love back. Cause Arawn has it and idt he's letting her go anytime soon.
I know someone else pointed it out in either the overall chapter comments or associated the comment with a particular sentence in the chapter but what if that is Arwan she is seeing (he does give off that dangerous vibes and she is not getting the deathly vibes she gets from Scarecrow but the vibes that someone who can be potentially danger like when Conrad and Arwan is near by) in the forest and she is sitting and "listening" to Conrad's excuse (because that is what it is, an excuse, not an apology) so Arwan can understand why she responds to him the way she does and he can better understand why even if she shows she is attracted and cares for him, this (Conrad) is the reason it is hard for her to open up and trust others. I don't think Conrad would be written out but unless we do a reverse harem (Yes Kelly, I'm back on that wagon with my wishful thinking 😏), there maybe a equally ruthless elven princess he can be with while he and Evanna can re-establish some form of friendship).
