Is the soul that the current Xi Taianyi devoured from birth the soul of this timelines Xi Longyi also sent to the past like Lei Jingye and that’s why he feels some sort of connection to Jiang Daoyi?
Ugh...yeah I know I pretty much gave a far simpler version of what you are saying last chapter, without the more exact specifications just to leave things more vague just so that my guess can be more correct due to the author having the degree of freedom to change small nuances to the overall story and the rest of that information is already shown in the story as well. This guess was just an extra possible conjuncture to that due to Xi Longyi showing hints of slightly deeper/different feelings towards Jiang Daoyi at the end despite what he did due to circumstances and feels more interesting to me. Though I do admit I appreciate the explanation given to my comment that seemed ignoran to this information, so thanks.
IAmDragon:No Jiang Daoyi just looked like someone he knew but never talked to from his life on Earth. The timeline MC is watching is one of the many possibilities that could’ve happened. The one he watched is the timeline where his soul never appeared or Xi Longyi was the one who won the battle between their souls. the timeline where he exist is a alternate reality, so Lei Jingye is someone who crossed that boundary between his reality and Xi Tianye’s reality and ended up in a place that he doesn’t belong, but he retains his knowledge from his life that he had in his reality which explains why he hates our MC since the body Xi Longyi has in that reality is the same as our MC. ( Hope that explains a bit on what’s going on here, this is also just my theory which I think fits the best on what’s going on )
