BS reason to nerf MC. Hollow's powers are innate. Meaning they instinctively know it. If by some reason you forgot your memories thereby losing this instincts. It doesn't mean that you can't train it to get the said instincts back. Essentially this makes the shops useless. Why pay something you could get for free with a little bit of practice. Better yet to save it for something you can't naturally acquire.

OK this is kind of BS. He lost memory so he lost instinctual abilities that have nothing to do with memory? Synopsis was inviting, but cmon, that's just too much bs at the start on novel
