[img=faceslap]this MC is stupid running his mouth off. He has no idea who dumbledore really is outside of the HP books and movies. With just a sleeping spell or potion dumbles can then toss him in a sack and order hagrid to dump him in the forbbiden forest as spider chow.
That proves my point the MC at this point knows little about dumbledore save what he probably got from the novels and movies. Very few students get to interact with the Headmaster after all. From whats written thus far 2 starling conclusions can be made...dumbledore either knew Harry was being abused and did nothing, or sent Harry to be abused as part of some scheme. Worse the fact the he cared more sbout the optics than the abuse shows dumbles ruthlessness. That fact alone tells you this is not someone you should be mouthing off to without some security.
BoiGeorge:You seem to be caught up on the fact that Dumbledore is innately that twisted and evil. The mans manipulative for sure but he has standards and at his level he wouldn't use such underhanded tactics to get at the MC. The one thing Dumbledore needs right now is talent for the years to come, Oz is a perfect candidate so to him doing anything but humour him could be detrimental in the long run. Also Dumbledore is convinced that the boy is more than meets the eye still. - Thanks for the comment :)
Hmmm I wish something was said about his multiple jobs and the inability to effectively focus on the important details of Hogwarts full time with him leaving at a drop of a hat throughout the school year. Maybe if he stepped down from even one of his posts he could solve some of the coming problems. Maybe fudge wouldn't be so focused on Dumbledore or maybe he could see the ineffective teaching of some of his teachers or see how his short sighted ways have allowed a lot of restrictions to be passed onto the school and the ways of magic and it's progression and research. He was once the dada professor and transfiguration professor at a time. The dark arts have become stigmatized to magical Britain and with the last two wars the amount of wizards brought up being taught a positive and effective education in the dark arts at Hogwarts in the last 50+ years can not be a lot. Not to mention the hit to the amount of new potion masters after snape came to Hogwarts as a teacher. Why doesn't Dumbledore higher muggleborn witches and wizards to fill in possible positions at Hogwarts? Teaching assistants, law wizards, apprenticeships, different languages, maybe classes for possible future professions too?
