Didn’t the guy that was watching him stealthily while he was unpetrifying that women using that light magic so wouldn’t they know he has light magic or am I wrong?

I hope Otto doesn't lose on purpose, would it be annoying that he lost just for fear of finding out more about him, and didn't Otto say that he was already the strongest in zone 1? it seems that those he passed in the tower made him overestimate these people.

thanks for the chapter! 😃 --whoa. he's even willing to consider throwing the match to protect his secrets? wonder what he's gone through to actually consider this. then again, if you don't want to be someone's pawn/toy/slave, a loss might make them think less of you (so that they think of you less). i'm sure varesha is not the only super powerful individual there, and they might have less scruples than she does. deception is probably the best tactic right now, even if it stiiings your pride.

And those freaking ridiculous restraints he put on himself are absurd. There's no reason one element has to be earth. He could sell the tome for tunnel precisely because he doesn't HAVE the earth element is what most would think. Like what the heck. Limiting cast times okay, hiding lack of cooldown for more basic spells...just seems stupid. If anything just take a little longer to cast, 1, maybe 2 or 3 seconds. Dual casting...meh.
