What happened to this chapter? This is the first chapter in a long time that I hated reading. Why is there no congruence from line to line.

This isn’t illegible but it’s close enough. I’m gonna be disappointed if this is the quality going forward. What used to be a much funnier book is now much less enjoy with the current translation.

All of the comments are gonna be about the bad translation, which, I'm sure we all hope may be corrected later. But really most of this chapter can be skipped since it's just describing cauldron explosions and the poor rate of success for the competition, which we all knew would happen anyways. I'm more so disappointed in not being able to understand the bet between Xu Xaioshu and Lady Chu Chu. Anyone else? I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm looking forward to seeing how he teases his next victim. I have a feeling she's going to be the next Night Guardian with how focused Author-san is on her these past few chapters.
